Sanjay Rai (Born 10th August 1960), is a well known Hindi and Bhojpuri script writer with an immense experience in the field and has till now written up several hit Hindi and Bhojpuri films.
He is one of the most sought after writers of Bhojpuri films with a great sense of cinema. He has made his presence felt in the Bhojpuri film industry through his stories, screenplays and dialogues. He has an impeccable good will among the people involved in the Bhojpuri film industry and is keeping up to his name with every other film he is working for.
Born in Janpad, Balia on 10th August, 1960, to Sri Niwas Rai (a well know writer, litterateur and a freedom fighter) and Nirmala Rai, lives in Lucknow with his mother, wife Poonam Rai and only son Soumya Rai.
Sanjay Rai is a post graduate in Zoology from Lucknow University. He developed an interest in writing from his childhood had an avid interest in the films being made. He started working for a pharmaceutical company in 1986, but left his job to pursue his interest in writing. He got his first break in the year 1993, with a serial named ‘Sabke Bhale Ki Baat’ for Doordarshan National Network. Since then the work started coming in for him in heaps and bunches and there was no looking back. He has till now written a dozens of films both Hindi and Bhojpuri and also T.V serials for Doordarshan National Network.
He still continues to satisfy his interest in the field of writing and works upon regularly to come out with new, exciting and mind grabbing stories. He admires the beautiful films being made today and sees a lot of scope for the future of the films being made in India.
